Haute Couture Week FW22 / 23 was launched last week and here are the highlights you must not miss! As I mentioned earlier, I am obsessed with fashion week and that also includes the category Haute Couture. What distinguishes the Haute Couture collections from the other Ready-To-Wear collections is that all garments must be sewn by hand and made in Paris. The creations that adorn the catwalk during Haute Couture Week are often more experimental and expressive than the garments that will appeal to the larger masses in the Ready-To-Wear collections.
KARDASHIAN, KIDMAN AND LIPA FOR BALENCIAGA
Balenciaga's show was, to say the least, celebrity-dense, not only along the front row but also on the catwalk. No less than Kim K, Nicole Kidman and Dua Lipa acted as models for the collection.
PLEATED CHIFFON DREAMS BY CHRISTIAN DIOR
Some of my favorites this week were Dior. These beautiful creations once again prove the timeless elegance of pleated chiffon and I love it!
SCHIAPARELLI TURN HEADS
A fashion house I rarely find inspiring is Maison Schiaparelli, but this year they proved me wrong. I say yes thanks to hats, dramatic silhouettes and black and white Cruella de Vil fashion!
CHANEL IN THEIR A GAME
Chanel offered my absolute favorite show this year, mainly because I felt that their DNA was really reflected in the entire collection. It was black and white, bouclé, costumes, matching sets and straight silhouettes. It was as if Coco Chanel in her own high persona resurfaced to create a collection that combines 1920s glamor with 2020s minimalism. Brilliant!

ELIE SAAB "THE BRIDE"
We can not mention Elie Saab when we talk about Haute Couture, it will not be more "over the top" than this. A wedding dress worth a fairytale princess.
These were some highlights from Haute Couture Week FW22 / 23 that I have to admit was one of my favorites for a long time. What did you think? It will be exciting to see which materials and cuts are further developed into trends in the coming seasons!
